The falcon is a symbol of courage, strength, clarity of vision, and victory. According to Egyptian mythology, the falcon is the symbol of Horus, who represents the solar energy of the rising sun. Here, the falcon is holding two open-winged scarab ankhs. The ankh and scarab are symbols for eternal life (i.e. rebirth and rejuvenation). All these elements combined is a reminder that no matter what happens, we are the master of our own life. We must stand in our power, take responsibility for our actions, and rise to the beauty and challenges of all that comes with self respect, dignity, and honor.
As you may have noticed, many of my paintings are quite complex. There are so many beautiful details contained within each piece that deserve some real attention, and can stand all on their own. So, I decided to extract some of these details from various paintings, and offer them to you as "Minishkas" for further contemplation. Because sometimes, less is more. Collect them all to pepper your sanctuary with beauty. Enjoy!
Be sure to check out all the different frames available for each print medium, too, to find the perfect finished look (frames may vary, depending on what size and print substrate you select).
