In the Face of Conflict
Jan 15, 2020
How can we be courageous enough to share exactly how we feel in the face of conflict? That’s what’s been on my mind lately. There are so many tiny to giant injustices in the world, and silence is a slow form of torture in the face of it, whether it be among friends, family, community, a nation...
I’m feeling the intensity of the micro to macro effects as I see conflict between two people I love very much. I can understand both sides... I see the pain on both sides, the anguish, the hurt, the feelings of betrayal and vengeance... And there are the moments in which I can lend an ear, lend a hand, step in, speak my mind, and know when to step out.
There are the times when silence is the only thing we can do once we’ve done all we feel we can do... and the cards will fall where they may. Knowing when that time of surrender is, that’s half the battle. 🙏🏼
How do you know when enough is enough?
